Happy Losar the year of the Wood Dragon!
I am writing to each and every student, benefactor, volunteer and sponsor of Venerable Namgyel's Online Sangha. I felt very strongly that I wanted to thank you all from the depths of my heart for your support towards the organisation in 2023.
To help you with the new year of the Dragon, VNOS will be providing regular guided sessions of purification practices starting Monday the 12th February, to clear away negativities. Lord Buddha stated there are two activities to be done until enlightenment: purification and accumulation. We are offering you “Purification Month” emphasising 35 Buddha recitation with prostrations and Vajrasattva meditation with the four powers. Please join us, as group practice is much more powerful than doing the practice alone.
We’ve also initiated a new fund with the start of this new year, the VNOS Guru Sangha Health Fund, to provide support to our teacher and the monks and nuns we support in Nepal.
On Saturday the 24th February you can join with other students of VNOS for a one-day Chenresig retreat taught by Gen Namgyel la...... this is a special retreat to start us off in the right way for the new year. We decide compassion is the way, each mantra brings us closer to enlightenment and we offer all our positive energy and blessings to the darkest places on this earth and in the universe where light and love and compassion are so necessary.
